Ukrainian Folk Festival marks 25 years

The festival's theme "United Ukraine — United with US" marks the country's independence, "the unity of her people, their struggle for freedom and dignity and Ukraine’s entry into the family of advanced democratic nations," according to a statement from the organizers.

Several folk artists, dance troupes, musicians, singers and ensembles performed at the festival.

"America’s support of Ukraine’s commitment to a self-determined democratic future — to life, liberty, freedom and justice — has created permanent bonds of friendship between the two nations. This year’s festival honors these special relationships and developments."
