ILYA BUYNEVICH CAPTURES THE PA OUTDOOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP; TRYZUB ARCHERS DO WELL IN SEVERAL OTHER SANCTIONED AND INFORMAL TOURNAMENTS

Pennsylvania Keystone Games (July 18, 2012 ): The Tryzub Archers travelled to Harrisburg to compete in this very hotly contested and well attended annual event that featured outdoor target shooting at the 60, 50 and 40 yard ranges. Ilya Buynevich captured third place in the Men’s Re-curve Competition, while Eugene A. Luciw took second place in the over-50 Men’s Re-curve Category. Oliver and Oscar Buynevich captured Gold and Silver in the Male Bowmen’s Re-curve junior’s competition.

Pennsylvania State Outdoor Championships (July 19, 2012): Congratulations to Ilya Buynevich who won this competition in Harrisburg, PA and was crowned 2012 PA Outdoor State Champion to match his indoor championship.

2012 FITA East Championship (November 10-11, 2012): The Tryzub Archers slipped a bit in this extremely competitive US Eastern Regional event. Buynevich and Luciw took seventh and fifth place, in their respective categories. Significantly, some of the best shooters from throughout the Eastern Seaboard had entered the competition.

Bucks County Fish and Game League: Tryzub Archers, Ilya Buynevich, Vlad Kozlovsky, Chris Lopez, and Eugene A. Luciw welcomed Charlie Sterling to the team and entered the Bucks County Indoor Archery League competition. They each shot the first round of 60 arrows last Tuesday, January 15, 2013. League competition will continue on a weekly basis through the winter months.

Bucks County Fish and Game Memorial Outdoor Tournament (September 16, 2012): Chris Lopez and Ilya, Oscar and Oliver Buynevich took part in this informal tournament and fared well. Chris Lopez shot a particularly impressive round in what was only his second outdoor competition.
